- delete - no evidence of existence provided. - Altenmann >talk 21:29, 23 January 2024 (UTC)
- I agree. Avishai11 (talk) 12:39, 24 January 2024 (UTC)
- Keep per WP:GEOLAND, appears to be a populated place. Didn't quickly find much in English because it looks like it's also spelled Ravupalli, mentioned here [1] - a town of 5,000 should easily be notable so the census should be checked. SportingFlyer T·C 22:59, 23 January 2024 (UTC)
- It's not a town in the 2011 Census. And it didn't have 5,000 people. AP has been redistricted now, but in the 2011 Census (page 382) this was Ravupalle village in the Garugubilli mandal of Vizianagaram district with a population of 2,978. Uncle G (talk) 06:28, 24 January 2024 (UTC)
- Town or village definitional specifics aside, still a very sizeable place to be arguing over at AfD. It seems the issue here is that it gets transliterated in many different ways, not that it's not notable... SportingFlyer T·C 09:44, 24 January 2024 (UTC)
- @SportingFlyer I checked for over 2 and 1/2 hours, and could not find ANY SOURCES, other than: a map (provided by google), and the 2011 census. These are NOT enough sources to go on. Avishai11 (talk) 12:39, 24 January 2024 (UTC)
- That's not the test here though. It's clear from the census, maps, and the occasional mention in an article that it can be WP:Verified, which is really all WP:GEOLAND requires. SportingFlyer T·C 14:56, 24 January 2024 (UTC)
